Terms

Clauseworthy offers free tools that fill in, compare and quote public legal standards and statutes. These terms say what the tools are, what they are not, and what you agree to by using them.

Not a law firm, not legal advice

Clauseworthy is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It is not licensed to practise law. Nothing on this site, and nothing the tools produce, is advice about your situation, and using it forms no attorney–client relationship. For any matter with real money or real risk, consult a lawyer licensed where you are.

What the tools do

The NDA generator fills in the Cover Page of the Common Paper Mutual NDA, Version 1.0 and reproduces its Standard Terms unchanged. The checker compares wording with a named public standard; a flag is a difference from that standard, not a judgement. The SAFE, founder and compliance tools perform arithmetic and list public rules; they generate no agreement or policy text. The non-compete pages quote state statutes as of the date each page shows.

Third-party standards

The Common Paper Mutual NDA is used under CC BY 4.0. Y Combinator's SAFE forms are linked, not reproduced: see YC's official forms and YC's Send a SAFE tool. Clauseworthy is not affiliated with Common Paper or Y Combinator, and neither endorses it.

No warranty

The site and its output are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. Laws and market data change; each page dates what it states.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Clauseworthy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, business or data, arising from use of the site or of anything it produces, and its total liability for any other loss is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under consumer-protection law that applies to you.

Your content

What you type or drop stays in your browser and is not received by us; you keep every right to it.

Changes

These terms may change as the tools change. The date at the foot of this page is the date they were last changed.
